Large diameter flanges have a wide range of applications. Production processes are divided into rolling and forging; extra-large ones can only be rolled. Materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel. Common large diameter flanges include weld neck flanges and slip-on flanges. Threaded flanges do not have large diameters. In actual production and sales, the proportion of slip-on products is higher. The structure and application range of large diameter slip-on flanges and large diameter weld neck flanges are different, and their characteristics and advantages will also be different, so they should be used in different ranges to ensure that the flanges play an important role.

Large diameter slip-on flanges have poor rigidity and are suitable for occasions with pressure p≤4MPa; weld neck flanges, also known as high-neck flanges, have greater rigidity and are suitable for occasions with higher pressure and temperature. There are three types of flange sealing surfaces: plane type sealing surface, suitable for low pressure; concave-convex sealing surface, suitable for slightly higher pressure; and tongue and groove sealing surface, suitable for flammable, explosive, and toxic media, and higher pressure occasions. Flanges of different properties have good product performance in different fields, adapting to different occasions and spaces, and producing different effects.
